The bottom of the hopper taken from the north side of the tower. In this
view some of the bottom bracing is visible. Also note the catwalk with grab
iron and hand rail between the bucket guide beams and the rear vertical beams
of the hopper. Photo by Dave Dye on May 28, 1989.
A shot of the rear of the structure at about the same level as the prior
shot. The bucket guides are visible here and also the cables running up the
center of the guide frame. The roof of the shed is just visible in
the lower portion of the shot. Photo by Dave Dye on May 28, 1989.
The south side of the structure near the shed roof line. The beams emerging
out of the structure are the braces for the sand tower out of the shot. I
wonder what the round object is up under the hopper? Also note the light
switch under the electrical box on the corner post. A standard switch box
is about 4" long which makes the corner post appear to be 8" wide. Looks
to be a faded outline of a Rio Grande herald on the shed wall. Photo

A little out of focus but it provides an overview of the lower front section.
